After attending the training sessions the participants will be better able to:
Understand and thus exercise their rights at workplace
Apply procedures more effectively, including grievance and other specialized procedures such as sexual harassment when handling grievances at work
Negotiate more effectively with the management for terms and conditions of employment based on Fairtrade strategy for worker’s rights in hired labour standards
Assist/ support workers representative/ shop stewards and management to improve the system in business for dealing with workers problems and grievance in Fairtrade certified facilities using hired labour standards.
Develop grievance mechanism jointly ;- trade union and the management where none exist
Appreciate gender mainstreaming
Enable the participants appreciate key provisions in the National Labour Legislations
